Jamie Wright
September 03, 2012
Jamie Lynn Wright, 27, passed away peacefully Monday, September 3, 2012, at Corning Nursing and Rehab Center.,
Jamie was born May 4, 1985 in Des Moines, and graduated from Ruby Van Meter High School. She loved getting pampered, especially when she got her nails and toes painted. Jamie enjoyed watching the Disney channel, whether it be cartoons when she was younger or some of her “teeny-bopper” shows more recently. Some of her favorites were Shake It Up, The Suite Life on Deck, Wizards of Waverly Place, and Good Luck Charlie. Jamie loved listening to music and always had a smile on her face when the tunes came on...especially if it was Justin Timberlake. Above all else, Jamie loved her family…her face lit up when her mom walked in the room.
Jamie is survived by her mother and step-father, Pamela Wright and Brian Gustafson; father, Randy McClain; brother, Jason (Wendi) Wright; nephew, Jayce Wright; niece, Josie Wright; grandparents, Dixie and Jim Holdredge and Larry McClain; great-grandfather, Joseph Cleary; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other loving relatives and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Justin Wright; great-grandmother, Armetta Cleary; and uncle, Bernard Wright.
The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, September 8, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m., and cremation will follow the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses in loving memory of Jamie.

Oh Pam, I just heard about your daughter, and your Grandfather. Forgive me if I am wrong about your Grandfather. Sandy Gist just told me today about it all. I lost a 13 month old nephew in 1990. I could not come to terms, as to why, God would take such young lives. Even newborns. At my nephews funeral, an elderly gentleman came up to me, and said, I know you and your family are great pain. Let me tell you something, that might help you to understand this better. Pam, he put his arm around my back, and on the left shoulder, and said, "Do you believe that heaven is ran by just old people up there", remember where you are right now, cause this is the hell world. And remember, all the kinds of people that are here with us now, you see them everyday. Take a look around you, Heaven is ran by the same types of people that you see here everyday. It takes all kinds to make Heaven, just like it does here on earth. And you know Pam, after thinking about for several weeks, it did make sense. It will make sense to everybody who believes in God, and believes there is a Heaven. I think about that, everytime I see a young life lost, for any reason. Please call me Pammy. I would so much like to talk to you. Sandy has my number. With love, prayers, and my thoughts of you and your family,
Rhonda Bryant
