Gretchen was such a good friend to me when I worked at TC in Colfax. She was so good to my children.... I didn't get to see her often enough after I left but I'm glad we visited last summer......I was just thinking about her last week. She will be missed.

Gretchen's Family,
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never, ever the same.
We were so very blessed to serve on Cursillo teams with Gretchen. The love of Jesus flowed through her as she served her Savior and Lord.
May God's love sustain you. God's peace be with you. God's promises comfort you.
Forever friends,
Willis & June Van Haaften

My deepest sympathy goes out to Gretchen's family and friends. I count Gretchen as one of MY dearest friends and I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to tell her so before her passing. Gretchen was great source of encouragement for both Don and myself as well as our children while Don was at Teen Challenge. I will never forget her lending me her bed/appt during Cursillo weekend. I ended up having the flu but she helped me get better so I could attend the entire service. Gretchen was also such a HUGE part of the Wives Ministry and could always be found helping, taking pictures and joining our events. She always prayed for us as we left our husbands after a weekend. Although she will be greatly missed, I am thankful for God's promise that although we grieve, we "do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope" because we know that one day we will see her again". Oh what a day of rejoicing that will be. I love you Gretchen! See you on the other side! For Gretchen's family, please know that she was called of God, "for such a time as this". We are one of many that will testify of how she touched our lives. Praying for your peace.

I was totally shocked when I read about Gretchen's passing. I had no idea about Gretchen's health. I got to know Gretchen and learn about her work at Teen Challenge from working at the store and bank in Colfax. I have had the chance to meet many great people in Colfax over the years and Gretchen was certainly one of them. My deepest sympathies to Gretchen's family and friends.
