Orville Hill

Orville Lee Hill, 91, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born May 21, 1921, in Davis City, Iowa, to Doss and Edith Hill.
Orville enjoyed playing bingo and poker, visiting with friends, and especially spending time with his family. He retired from the Teamsters #147.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian; 11 children, Ronnie (Betty) Hill, Linda (Richard) Hernandez, Peggy (Ronnie) Houghman, Robert (Norma) Hill, Dennis (Elaine) Hill, Brenda (Stephen) Johnston, Greg (Myrna) Hill, Patricia (Allen) Inman, Rebecca Hill, Mark (Elaine) Hill, and Gene (Brenda) Hill; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; his dog, Coco; as well as many other family and bingo friends. He was preceded in death by six children; his first wife and mother of his children, Thelma Hill; two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines; with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 31, at the funeral home.

Grandpa you are going to be greatly missed. We all love you but know you are in a better place with your loved ones that you havent seen in a while. I know you will hit the BLACKOUT up there in Heaven Bingo :)

Vivian, sorry to hear of Orville's passing. Hope to see back at the West Des Moines Elks Bingo in the future. Everyone ask how you are doing. Take care of yourself. A Bingo Friend.
