Judy Burnside

Judy Burnside, 69, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Judy was born September 22, 1942, in Louisiana, Missouri, to Howard and Mildred Harness. She married Marion Burnside on September 5, 1965. Together they were baptized on July 4, 1974. She was always known for her bubbly personality, and she could light up a room with her smile, she sparkled. Judy enjoyed sewing, photography, fishing, and cooking. She loved to talk and was a wonderful grandma. She was a member of Hickman Road Church of Christ, and taught Sunday School for many years.

Judy is survived by her husband, Marion; children, John (Tammy) Burnside and Amanda (Danny) Wallace; grandchildren, Braden, Brenton, and Brooklynn Burnside, and Noah, Nate, Eli, and Mila Wallace; siblings, Bill (Mary Jo) Harness, Janet (Dave) Warren, and Margaret Sturgis. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, August 20, 2012, at Hickman Road Church of Christ, 5217 Hickman Road, followed by burial at Oakview Cemetery in Albia, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

Memorials will be directed by the family for charitable purposes.
