Robin Short, 55, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 after suffering a heart attack. Her husband Randy passed just three weeks ago. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Booneville Cemetery in Booneville, IA.
Born on November 19, 1956 in Des Moines, IA to Evelyn Ann Burris and Bob Reynolds; Robin graduated from Waukee High School and married Randy on July 30, 1976. Randy and Robin met on the school bus as teens in high school, so perhaps they were destined to become a semi driving team. They covered 48 states within a two year period and for 5 years drove from Des Moines to California every week while working for GSTC Trucking out of Walford, IA. Robin was an avid gardener and a talented cake decorator.
She will be greatly missed by her sons, Matthew (Stacie), Joshua (Sarah); grandson, Evan and another on the way; her father, Bob (Linda) Reynolds; brothers, Rick, Randy (Penny) and Eric Reynolds; sisters, Renee Rogers and Jill (Russell) Harris; mother-in-law, Marilyn Short; sister-in-law, Marcy (Ron) Roby; and brother-in-law, Russ (Teresa) Short.

Looking at the names of Robins family, I believe we grew up in Des Moines back in the late 60s . My sympathies to the families.

Hello and Heart Felt Condolances to Robin's Family and Friends. I met Robin a few years ago while working at 22nd St Dollar Tree. We became friends right away. She was one of a kind. Randy, her children and grandchildren were her heart.
She will live on in our hearts and minds until we see her again.
I love you Robin.

We will miss Robin's smile when we go out to visit Josh, Sarah, and Evan. Evan has already commented about missing Grandma Robin and Grandpa Randy.

Matt and Josh we are so very sorry to hear about your mom. Know how hard this must be. You have had such sorrow with both of your parents passing so close together. Our prayers are with you all. We had a lot of fun with all of you when we camped at Lucky Lanes!!
