Sarah Jane Swagler, 69, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, August 14, 2012. Sarah was born June 10, 1943, in New Haven, Connecticut, to Josephine and Wellington Pomeroy. Sarah was a life-long member of the VFW, and enjoyed spending her winters in Florida.
Sarah is survived by her husband of 47 years, Arthur; sons, David, Shawn, and Ryan; grandson, Joshua; granddaughter, Marcella; sister, Kathy; and brother, Wellington. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Jodi, and an infant son.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Friday, September 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Saint Casimir Catholic Church, 815 Sparrow Avenue, Lansing, Michigan. Burial will follow at Delta Center Cemetery, also in Lansing.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation in loving memory of Sarah.

I was the sewing and alteration lady for Sarah for many years. So very sorry that she died. I always enjoyed her visits and calls. God bless her soul. Kay
