Michael P. Wynn, 46, was born January 15, 1966, in Des Moines, and passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 11, 2012.
Mike worked for UPS at the airport, and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Wynn; sons, Joseph and Eric Wynn; mother, Marian Wynn; sisters, Christine Brown and R. Suzanne (Taed) Wynnell; step-children, Jami, Brandon, and Lyndsay Hanson; step-grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, and Jonathan; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Wynn; nephew, Thomas Van Blaricum; grandparents, Robert Wynn, Jean Sauer and Opal and Ivan Conn.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 pm., Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday, August 16, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery, where military rites will be performed.

To my beloved sister Terri Wynn, Jami, Brandon, and Lyndsey. I dont have the words to express my sorrow for the loss of Mike. He was a hardworking father and husband. Mike was a wonderful person who would help anyone in need. Mike was well versed on all subjects of life. If we ever needed assistance and help with any subject, he was the man with the wisdom.
Mike always listened, before speaking his words of wisdom. I would often think of him as the subject expert of life experiences. I will forever cherish his words of life experiences.
To my beloved sister, I dont have the words to express the loss of such a wonderful person, and husband. I promise you that I will always be here for you if you ever need a single thing. I am here if you need a shoulder to lean on, an ear to listen to, or a house to clean. You name it, I am here for you.
We are thinking of you and the kids every day and keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
