Dawn Lufaye Ramos

Dawn Lufaye Ramos, 56, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, as a result of a four-month battle with varios health conditions. Dawn went to be with the Lord after moving from Select Specialty Center in Davenport to The Abington on Grand in Ames.

She was born to Joy and William Gusler on May 11, 1956 in Des Moines, Iowa. Dawn touched the lives of many people with her smile, her generosity and her love for others.

Dawn is survived by her husband, Ramiro Ramos; children, Charity Perez, Johnelle (Roberto Martinez) Vera, and Anthony Perkovich; stepsons, Geraldo (Kim) Ramos, and Ramoir Ramos, Jr.; mother, Joy Gosler; sister, Vikki Sutton; grandchildren, Austin, Selena, Anthony, Luis, Juan, and Roberto, Jr. She also leaves behind her aunt and uncle, Millicent and Francis Churchill; cousins, Alan and Kurt; and many other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Gusler, and grandsons, Gilberto Acosta, Jr., and Aiden Alan Perkovich.

There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with a visitation one hour prior
