Glen E. McIntosh

Glen Eugene McIntosh passed away at Mercy Medical Center on Monday, August 6, 2012. He was 88 years old. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 11, at 11 a.m., at First United Methodist Church, 1001 Pleasant Street, with an additional visitation period for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Collins, Iowa.

Glen was born on February 3, 1924, in Colo, Iowa, to Mildred and Ralph McIntosh. He was a proud member of the United States Navy and served his country during WWII. Glen was co-owner of Martin’s Automatic Service for 40 years, and was loved by his customers and employees.

Left to honor Glen’s memory are his loving wife of 66 years, Dorothy; son, Bruce (Margaret) McIntosh; daughter, Julie McIntosh Klismith; grandchildren, Michael (Tina) and Andrew (Ana) McIntosh and Brian, Ricky, Chelsey, and Aaliyah Klismith; and five great-granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
