Maxine L. Croy, 89, passed away Friday, August 3, 2012, at the Parkridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Hill.
Maxine was born December 18, 1922, in Des Moines, to Welton and Fern (Shoop) Wheeler. She had lived in Des Moines most of her life. Maxine was a life-long Christian and a servant of the Lord. She loved spending time with her family.
Maxine is survived by her children, Sandra Koons, Gary Croy, Burle (Phyllis) Croy, Brian Croy, Connie (Dan) Alves, Randy Croy and Rodney Croy; sister, Mary Beeman; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many other extended relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Croy, son, Jerry Croy, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, August 6, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
