Sean Brake

Sean Michael Brake, 33, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Ft. Stewart, Georgia. He was born May 11, 1979, in Des Moines, to Kevin and Sharon Brake.

After graduating from high school, Sean moved to California and worked in construction. On February 13, 2008, he joined the United States Army and was first stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA, and later transferred to Ft. Stewart, GA. He enjoyed playing video games, being around people, cracking jokes, and especially spending time with his children and family.

Sean is survived by his children, Zoey, Logan, Hailey, and Tristan; mother, Sharon Brake; father, Kevin (Saundra); sister, Tiffany Davis (Will Rivera); grandmother, Betty (Forrest) Burgin; aunt, Jana Kay (Tom) Shimer; uncles, Kelly and Mike Brake; numerous other cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Frank Klataske; and aunt, Sandy Gilbert.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Pleasant Hill Free Church, 4555 Parkridge Avenue, Pleasant Hill. The family will greet friends two hours prior to service time at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to set up a trust fund for his children.
