Donald Shiffer

Donald Van Shiffer, Jr., 28, of Des Moines, was taken away from us on Monday, July 30, 2012, in a motorcycle accident. Visitation will be Friday, August 3, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m., and services will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at Berean Assembly of God, 5299 E. University Avenue in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Donny has lived in Des Moines all of his life. He was employed at Brown National Lease for 12 years. Donny had many things that he enjoyed but his girls always came first. He loved riding his Harley, especially with his dad, coaching softball, and was a Craig’s List Junkie. His friends and family were a very special part of his life.

He is survived by his wife Danielle; daughters, Brooklin and Breanna; his parents Donny, Sr. (and best friend), and Karla; sister, Missy Shiffer (Bud); niece Haylie; nephew Buddy IV; mother and father-in-law, Ron and Lori Blair; brother-in-law Zach Blair; and many other family and friends.

Memorial contributions are being accepted at Greater Iowa Credit Union on E. 30th Street, in Des Moines, Iowa, under Danielle Shiffer/Donald Memorial Fund.
