Christy "Sissy" Flisher

Christy “Sissy” Flisher, 45, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center. Christy was born on October 2, 1966, in Newton, Iowa, to Cathy and Walt Chandler.

Christy was an outgoing and tender-hearted person. She always thought of others before herself. She enjoyed camping, scrap-booking, and her pets. She was an advocate for the Iowa Donor Network, and she loved to draw.

Christy is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Chrystal; grandson, Devin; parents, Cathy Chandler Melbourne and Walt Chandler; siblings, Jeff (Staci), Val, and Randy Chandler.

There will be a memorial service held in Christy’s honor at 11 a.m., Friday, August 3, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, with a visitation period an hour before the service.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in Christy’s memory.
