Mildred Phipps passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, July 30, 2012, in Des Moines.
Mildred leaves behind her daughter, Ginger Burbank; son, David Andersen; granddaughter, Jennifer Andersen; brothers, Daniel and Richard Leaming; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Irma Leaming, sister, Judy, and brothers, Dale and Bob.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, August 3, 2012, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Friday, at the funeral home.

Silly Millie you are in my thoughts daily and miss you more than words can say... I will try to take care of Ginger as much as she will allow me to, I will never forget the countless smiles you put on my face. Thank you for sharing some of your funniest stories with me and some of my fondest moments were spent with you. You will be in my prayers and thoughts daily and everytime I hear someone say "sure" I will think of you and smile.

Momma, I am so glad I got the chance to know you and your family.
