Barbara Phipps

Barbara Phipps, 66, passed away on July 28, 2012. Her family will greet friends and family at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, from 10:00 to 11:30 am, on Wednesday, August 1. There will be a graveside service following at 12 pm, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Barbara is survived by many loving family members. They include her children, Kenneth Phipps, Jr., Vickie Lee, Debbie Franke, Randy (Joe) Phipps, Christopher (Mike) Phipps, and Heather Phipps; her aunts, Helen Free and Lola Armstrong; sister, Violet Ayres; brother Joseph Hollingsworth; sister Scheryl Whitney; and brother Bill Fisher. Barbara is also survived by 30 loving grandchildren, 29 wonderful great-grandchildren, and 13 nieces and nephews.

Those that have preceded her in death are her father, Joseph Hollingsworth, her mother Cora Burns (Great Mother), her brother Ricky Burns, grandson James Phipps, and of course her loving pet Bartelby.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family.
