Joseph Meadows, 60, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012, at his home in Des Moines.
Joe is survived by his son, Joshua (Teresa) Meadows; grandchildren, Nicholas and Abigail Meadows; sister, Mary Keener; a niece; and many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Meadows; father, David Harlow; and brothers, David Meadows and Andrew Meadows.
No memorial service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Veridian Credit Union, where a college savings account has been set up for Joe’s grandchildren, Nicholas and Abigail.

Joe was my brothers best friend and sooner than later he became my friend too. He was smart and funny and always good to me. Joe and i spent a lot of time together and eventually he stole my heart. I have so many fond memories. I will miss him so very much.

Joe was a life long friend of mine. We shared many good times and much laughter toghter.We also shared the same Birthday. I could always count on Joe to call and wish me a Happy Birthday and say i love you buddy. Well Joe,--- i love you buddy

My entire family will miss Joe popping in or just calling. It's easy to pretend that he's still with us, but then I realize that he's gone, he'll be missed forever.

To a very dear old friend of 40 years, I will remember the great conversation that would last for hours, we would laugh until we cried. You will be missed until we all meet again. May you find peace in seeing margaret, and all the other family members, as well as all your kitty cats!!!
