Patricia J. Schoonover, 83, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Fleur Heights Care Center.
Patricia was born December 23, 1928, in Des Moines, to Robert and Florence (Hasley) McKee. She retired from the State of Iowa, where she had been a secretary for many years. Patricia loved spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, being outside, and planting flowers. She also enjoyed baking, reading and sewing.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Paula (Dan) Tutor; sons, Kraig (Diane) Haskett and Kevin Haskett; grandchildren, Michael and Devin; brother, Wayne McKee; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family or to John Stoddard Cancer Center.

My heart goes out to you Paula and your family in this time of need. Your mother was a loving person and very caring. I know I will miss her bunches. She made a deep impression on my heart. I've lit a candle and have said many prayers for your family.
