God welcomed David Paul Wadle, 60, into eternal life on Wednesday, July 18th, 2012 after a courageous 4-year battle with cancer. David leaves behind his best friend and wife of 38 years, Patricia, daughter, Katherine (Benjamin) Ledyard, son Justin (Stephanie) grandchildren, Benjamin, Caleb, Ethan, Maximus, Anna and Madeline; his siblings, Del, Chuck, Terry, and Sharon; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victoria and Robert, brother Daniel, nephew Danny, and brother-in-law, John Madison.
Dave was an active member of St. Anthony parish. He was ordained a Deacon in the Catholic Church on August 12th, 2010. He was a student of theology and philosophy until his final days and had a great desire to share his knowledge with others. He worked as an anesthesiologist at Mercy Medical Center and Mercy Medical Pain Center for 25 years with great compassion and care.
Dave will be remembered for his faith, prayerful spirit, defense of the Church, and his tremendous love for his family. He is already missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2012 also at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Pro Life Across America, Inner Visions Pro Life Health Clinic, or EWTN.

I am writing this for myself, my mother and my sister. Dr. Wadle was my mother's doctor for several years at the pain center. My sister and myself took my mother to her appointments and procedures. We would like his family to know how highly we thought of him, not only as a doctor, but also as the very caring and soulful person he was. We knew he had his own battle to fight, yet he always was with you 100%. God love Dr. Wadle and his family.

My sister, Lynne Murphy, always spoke of Dr. Wadle with utmost respect and admiration of his deep faith. She worked with him at the pain center. I wish I would have known him. We prayed for him many times at our church. With deepest sympathy to your family. May God bless you all.

Jerry and I would like to express our sorrow at the news of Deacon Dave's death. We have prayed for him for many, many months. He endured with strength and grace. Our thoughts and prayers are with Pat and their family. What a profound loss for them... and for us.

I started seeing Dr. Wadle as a patient at the Pain Center a few years ago. I got to know him and his personality over that time. I appreciate the care he took with me for my problem as well as the interest he took in me personally while treating me. Many times when I was frustrated about my problems he made sure to keep my spirits up and hope in my mind. He was an amazing doctor and I am thankful to have been a patient.

Heaven's gain is our gain as we take comfort in knowing that Dave's Love for Our Lord and Our Lady continues in his intercession on our behalf as an advocate for us in the Church Triumphant. Your family will always be in our hearts and our prayers. Each time I pass your old house I see Dave in his scrubs on that lawn mower. We have been blessed to call you neighbors and to call Dave doctor.

I had the pleasure of working in the Mercy Pain Center for 2 years. There are few people who have done so much for so many people. I will always remember his kind spirit. I am blessed to have worked with him. Peace be with all the family and friends as we all cope with our great loss.

Deacon Wadle was a very dear friend to Lisa and me ever since we met him. I had the privilege to serve with him during the Catholic Mass and he was instrumental in helping us with our faith. Deacon Wadle had a quiet peace about him and always had a smile on his face. No matter how he felt and what he was going through, he always encouraged us to "offer it up" to Heaven for the reparation of sins. The world has truly lost a little bit of God's Light, but Heaven has gained another amazing son! Deacon Wadle will surely be missed, but we hope to see him on the other side soon. May God continue to send His peace and blessings to his wonderful family. "His master said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master." (Matthew 25:23)

Dr. Wadle was my Mom's (Marguerite Walker) doctor for 8 years. His medical knowledge, faith and compassion was inspirational. To have him as a doctor was wonderful, we had the added benefit to have Dr. Wadle as our parish deacon. We will miss you Dr. Wadle and we will continue praying for you and your family. God Bless You.

I had the privilege to work with Dr. Wadle for many years in the Pain Clinic. He was a very caring person who always thought of others. I am grateful to have been blessed to know him. May God's peace with his wonderful family. He will very much be missed.
