Lee Uballe

Lee Uballe, 86, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Lee was born on July 26, 1925. He loved NASCAR and retired from the city of Des Moines.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, with a visitation period for two hours prior to the service, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery.

Lee is survived by his children, Laurie (David) Nissen and Joi (Bill) Junkman; grandchildren, Brett Nissen, Traci (Chad) Tracey, Michele (Kelly) Kline, and Terri (Mark) Loomis; great-grandchildren, Chloe Tracey, Jonathon Kline, Jacob Kline, and Austin Dobkins; sister, Noel; step-son, Ron (Jean) Sharp; step-daughters, Sharon (Dan) Fish, Bonnie Jo Higgins, and Nancy (Richard) Bradwell; numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Lupe and Mary; brothers, Joe and Frank; long-time companion, Signe; and previous wives, Shirley and Georgia.
