Gay Jorgenson

Gay Jorgenson, 55, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born October 5, 1956, in Des Moines, to Thomas and Marilyn Black. Gay enjoyed collecting antiques, spending time with her grandchildren, and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. She will be remembered as a loving and caring person who put everyone’s needs before her own and was continually helping those around her.

Gay is survived by her loving children, Lee Jorgenson, Lacy Jorgenson, Lance (Jaime) Brodene and Larissa Wilson; mother, Marilyn Bash; sisters, Vickie Butler and Rhonda Black; brother, Tom (Lisa) Black; nine grandchildren; and a host of other extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by father, Thomas Black, and grandson, Jeremiah Brodene.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday, at the funeral home. A private family burial will be held at Oralabor Cemetery at a later date.
