Michael Anthony Reeves

Michael A. Vandervort Reeves was born January 2, 1964, in Des Moines. He was the son of Margaret “Vandervort” Woodhead, and was raised in Des Moines by Margaret Woodhead and Robert Vandervort, along with his three sisters.

Mike had a passion for painting cars and spent many years working in auto body repairs at Scotty’s Auto & Body Repair. In addition to Mikes love of cars, he enjoyed spending time fishing, bowling, playing pool, and making people laugh with his endless humor.

Michael died unexpectedly in his Adel home on July 15, 2012. He is survived by a daughter, Candice Reeves; mother, Margaret (Denny Madren) Woodhead; three sisters, Shawn (Rodger) Fredrick, Bobbi Jo (Jeff) Dille, and Jacqueline (Brian) Clair; Robert (Diana) Vandervort; step-siblings, Brian Potter, Scott Potter, Stephanie Potter-Jurgens, Lacey Vandervort, and Michael Woodhead; and many nieces and nephews.
