Service Details
Gerald Taft passed away in his sleep on Saturday, July 14, 2012. He was born on June 4, 1942, in Des Moines, to Jewell and Earl Taft.
Gerald is survived by his mother, Jewell; wife, Carol; daughter, Julie (Mike Curtis) Taft; sons, James and Jerry Taft; grandchildren, Zachary, Jamie, Jennifer, Jillian and Cameron; one great-grandson, Kaleb; brother, Thomas Taft and sister, Shirley Percel.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl and his sister, Joyce.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Elm Grove Cemetery in Des Moines. A visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in memory of Gerald.

Carol, I'm sorry to hear about your lose. We'll miss Gerald on 44 every morning as I'm sure you will. I'll be thinking of him often. I'll try to make it to his service.
