Shirley Rose Paullas, 76, went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2012, due to complications from a fall.
Shirley was born February 22, 1936, in Boone, Iowa, to Theodore Needham and Vera Morgan. She grew up in Beaver, Iowa, and spent all of her adult life in Ankeny and surrounding area. She was a Rabid Iowa Hawkeye fan and an Iowa Barnstormers fan, which she was a season ticket holder to and never missed a game. Shirley also loved NASCAR Dale Jr. and Sr., they were her favorites. She loved Elvis Presley and gardening, spending time with her flowers.
She worked for the U.S. Postal service for over 30 years.
Shirley is survived in life by her children, Kathy Trogdon and Rosa Evans, brother-in-law, Gary, grandchildren, Shawna and Kimberly, and dog Molly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Paullas; and her mother and dad.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, July 13, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening, at the funeral home.

I was out of town when Shirley left us but was so sorry to hear it. She was a good friend and co-worker at the PO. I am sorry I missed the Funeral and being able to express to you my sympathy. My heart goes out to you and your entire family. She will be missed by many.

Rosie, so sorry to hear of your mothers fall and death. I meant to give the card to shirley evans but forgot it here at home and can't find an address to send. so guess this will have to do for now. So sorry and you are in my thoughts.
