Betty Vance

Betty L. Vance, 85, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Taylor House Hospice. She was born August 17, 1926, in Thayer, Iowa.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Christina Hutton, Carol Walker, Joyce Vance, Pam Vance, and Janice Vance; 11 grandchildren, Leroy, Vicki, Anna, Lydia, Matthew, Tonya, Raymond, Joshua, Brian, Patricia, and Letisha; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Wilma & Delores. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Leticia Leak, husband, Raymond, grandsons, Jeff and Ralph Hutton, and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery.
