Esteban Villarreal Sanchez, 51, passed away at 9:37 a.m., Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center.
Esteban was born November 28, 1960, in Tamaulipas, Mexico. He grew up in Mission, Texas. Esteban had worked at Plasma Alliance, was a supervisor at the Marriott and a houseman at Embassy Suites. He enjoyed listening to music and loved karaoke.
Esteban is survived by his brothers, Dionicio, Isabel, Porfirio, and Joe Sanchez; sisters, Petra Medrano, Maria Antonia Sanchez, Maria Luisa Vallejo, Maria de Jesus Sanchez, Gracie Marquez, and Monica Sanchez; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He will also be missed by his loving dogs, Candy Lou, Bonita, Chiko, Tai Tai, and Buddy.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Visitation Catholic Church, 1271 E. 9th Street, Des Moines, Iowa, followed by burial at the Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa.

We were neighbors and spent so much time just hanging out by the railroad tracks. I think about you often and didn't know you had been called home. I am grateful for our time and the relationship I established with you and your family members. I wish I knew how to contact them. Sing Esteban, sing.
