Robert Dean Reynolds

Robert Dean Reynolds, born January 7, 1931, to Albert Everett "Doc" Reynolds and Ruth Reynolds in Des Moines, IA, married Josephine Louise Wilson on April 5, 1950, and raised their four children in Des Moines, IA. Bob, 81, died peacefully at Silvercrest in Clive, IA, on June 30, 2012, after vibrantly living two years with esophageal cancer.

Bob proudly graduated from Iowa State University and worked at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Human Resources for 42 years. He served in the Iowa National Guard. Both he and Josephine actively participated as leaders in Prison Fellowship and the Via De Cristo (Cursillo) movements in Iowa. Robert and his family, as long time members, attended Zion Lutheran Church in Des Moines.

Robert has now gone home to be with the Lord and has left a legacy of faith to his children: Randal (Ann) Reynolds of Windsor Heights, Cindy Moore of Des Moines, Renee (David) Kiel of Fort Worth, TX, and Rob (Rhonda) Reynolds of Clive; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a brother, Al Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine Wilson Reynolds.

The visitation service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 4300 Beaver Avenue in Des Moines, IA from 5 to 7 pm, Tuesday, July 3. The memorial service date is pending and will be announced at the visitation. Robert donated his body to the Des Moines University for research, his father's alma mater.
