Judith Chaney, 71, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. She was born September 12, 1940, in Des Moines.
Judy was a member of Grace Church in Des Moines. She enjoyed square dancing, fishing and spending time with her dogs.
Judy is survived by her husband, William; her step-children, Billie Beckley, Russell Chaney, Michael Chaney, and Teresa Evensen; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; as well as other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial following at the Masonic Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in loving memory of Judy.

WE ARE SO SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF YOUR WONDERFUL LOVED ONE JUDY. WE ENJOYED HAVING JUDY IN OUR CLASS AT GRACE WHEN SHE WAS WELL ENOUGH TO COME. SHE IS NOW WALKING WITH JESUS AND SINGING WITH THE ANGELS.
