Selba Donley

Selba Donley, 81, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
Selba was born February 17, 1931, in Shelbyville, Missouri. She retired from the Social Security Administration after 26 years of service. Selba enjoyed attending King of Kings Church, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for opening up her home to many people in need of a place to stay.
Selba is survived by her children, Durwin Donley, Diane Donley-Moore, Kim Francis, John Donley, and Ashley Donley; a host of grandchildren, Markisha and Martina Carr-Jefferson, Dominique Francis, Demetrius Francis, Justin and Julian Donley, Taneeka Donley, Durwin Donley, Jr., Denaro Lee, Jr., Asianea White, and Trentity and TreShawn Brown; great-grandchildren, Malik Martin, and Jarreau and Jamari Jefferson; sister, Sharon Kelly; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Luther Donley.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 24, 2012, at 12 p.m., followed by a 1 p.m. funeral service, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. A funeral service will also be held Monday, June 25, 2012, at 1 p.m., at King of Kings, 619 SE 15th Street.

Our Deepest Condolences to the Donley Family. Mrs. Donley was such a sweet and loving lady. I was blessed to have known her and she will be truly missed. My heart goes out to all the family. Be strong as she now rests in peace.
