Marilyn Tarney

Marilyn Earlene Tarney, 75, died Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Marilyn was born April 25, 1932 to Clifford and Johnie Whisenand in Marceline, MO. She enjoyed watching TV, especially WWE wrestling, sitting on her patio watching people go by.and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by her children, John Tarney and Pam (Eddie) Killen both of Des Moines; two brothers, Robert (Sandy) Whisenand of Des Moines and Gary (Margaret) Whisenand of Richmond, VA; sister, Terri Kirley of Des Moines; sister-in-law, Delores Whisenand of Reading, KS; two grandsons, Jesse Killen and Patrick Tarney; six great-grandchildren, Joey, Jacob, Samantha, Jessica, Skylar and Trisha all of Des Moines; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Tarney; grandson, Jason; and brother, Larry Whisenand.
