My deepest sympathy and regrets to the family on Pete's passing. I had the pleasure of serving with Pete as his Platoon Sergeant. I will miss his smile, energy and willingness to do whatever needed to be done. God Bless You Pete and may the Lord welcome you home. Rest in peace Soldier thy work is done.

I had the honor of serving as Peter's commander at an artillery unit in Algona before 9/11. He was a good soldier and a pleasure to be around.
I'm so sorry for your loss. We happen to be at Camp Ripley, MN for annual training as we receive this sad news. I have specific and fond memories of being here with Petey, as do many others here. We'll have a memorial service and fire an artillery round with his name on it. I'm glad to hear he'll be at the Veteran's cemetary as I live not far from there. I'll visit his grave when I return and tip my hat as I drive by twice daily. I trust the Lord has welcomed this soldier home and that he's at peace with grandparents I know he loved.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to your family during this difficult time. May you be comforted by the promise of the resurrection and the end of sickness and death forever. God makes this wonderful promise at Isaiah 25:8 where it states that "He will swallow up death forever" I hope this message is of some consolation.
