Rita Meek

Rita “Donna” Meek, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Donna was born October 30, 1940 to Edward and Blanche Merrigan in Des Moines, Iowa. She married Richard Meek on April 30, 1958. Donna was employed at Polk County for 27 years. She enjoyed craft fairs, Elvis impersonator concerts and spending time with family and friends. Donna was a giving and loving person who always put others before herself.
Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Lisa (Kelly Hegwood) Meek, Cindy (Vince) Jeffries and Debbie (Ralph) Farnsworth; two sons, James (Sandra) Meek and Edward (Wendi) Meek; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a great-grandchild, three brothers and one sister.
