Family was very important to Sharon. She loved having her home filled with family, especially at Christmastime. She spent many hours throughout the year planning and shopping for their annual Christmas Eve extended family get-together and Christmas morning celebration with all the children and grandchildren. She was always searching for the “just what they always wanted” gift. Her happiness came from seeing others happy.

Sharon’s professional career was spent as a sales manager. She worked for Raven Industries in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, followed by The Bob Allen Company in Des Moines. She retired from the Roto Rooter Corporation. Sharon was a champion for women’s rights and inspired many to achieve their dreams. Her business acumen originated with a sales course involving Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People.

Sharon loved her garden, and cherished spending time among her flowers and on her porch. Over the years, she spent many meaningful hours with her grandchildren, attending events, and teaching the granddaughters to embroider.
