Lewis Sharp

Lewis Vernon Sharp, 78, of New Virginia, Iowa passed away peacefully at the Veteran’s Hospital in Knoxville, Iowa on May 30, 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Lewis was born June 24, 1928 in Knoxville. He proudly served his county in the Navy during World War II. He work for Armstrong Tire Company, and retired after 30 years of service. He loved to drive the school bus for handicapped children. Dad liked to talk, fish, watch old westerns and county music. He also enjoyed Old Milwaukee, gardening and watching wild life. He loved his cats, kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
Lewis is survived by his five children, Danny (Dianne) Sharp, Patty (Jerry) Cherryholmes, Cathy (Chuck) VanHouten, Nancy (Wayne) Nelson, and Jimmy (Dana) Sharp; his adored grandkids and great grandkids; his sister, Ada and brother, Harry.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Sharp, his parents, his brothers and sisters.
