William Burkmire, Sr., 67, passed away Monday, May 28, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center. He was born January 2, 1945, to William and Irene Burkmire. William enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting pheasants, and mushroom hunting.
William is survived by his sons, Bill Burkmire, Jr., and Randal Lee Burkmire; daughter, Sandy Lee (Rod) Richards and Pamela Dawn (James) Scarlett; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Catherine Burkmire, and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, June 1, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
