To my dear friend, my grandpa. Thank you for your life, thank you for your love and thank you for your laughter. Everything that I am, any good that I have ever done or will ever do is because of you. You're gone and that leaves an enormous hole in my heart and in my life. It's a pain that I'll have to bare and learn to live with until we meet again. We used to speak, almost everyday and I continue to wake up thinking I'll just pick up the phone. I can't believe how much more difficult it is to get on my knees and speak to you in prayer. However, I can tell that you're listening and I can feel that you're with me. I'll cherish the memories and forever hold on to our conversations. And I just can't say good bye to my hero, my coach, my dad, my best friend... my Grandpa. So I'll say see ya later, with a tear in my eye.

Life on earth as we know it is a very small window of time. Time and life is a gift. Dad, you took this speical gift and you embraced it, endurred it and maximized it every single day. You where my mentor and teacher of the things I know and live by in my life. Your wisdom and easy going nature is so forthgiving. I think of you every single day. And I'm missing you always. But I know your in a better world and with family. Love you always and forever.

Grandpa,
Having walked the pages of this chapter, another plot development has manifested itself. There may be an epilogue for us, but your story continues. There is a legacy left behind for the sequels.
Thank you for inhabiting the character you did, bringing your role to full and unapologetic fruition. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us.
Love always.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to your family during this difficult time. May you be comforted by the promise of the resurrection and the end of sickness and death forever. God makes this wonderful promise at Isaiah 25:8 where it states that "He will swallow up death forever" I hope this message is of some consolation.
