Mildred Starrett, 79, passed away at Regency Park Care Center in Jefferson, Iowa, on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.
Mildred was born on Valentine’s Day in 1933, to Rachel (Levi) and Ore Churchill in Gravity, Iowa.
Mildred is survived by her daughters, Gail (Dennis) Blum, Becky Bailey, and Diana (Jake) Guile; sons, James (Mary) Ambrose, Richard (Kathy) Ambrose, Mark Ambrose, and Dennis Starrett; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her beloved companion, her poodle, Tezzie.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Gail Ambrose and Richard Starrett.
Visitation will be Friday, May 25, 2012, from 12 to 2 p.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Mildred.

it was a sad day to hear about aunt midge, she was always happy and joyful when we ever meet up. thats the memoiries I will always have.to all her children my prays go out to you. god bless you all

Many fond memories with you guys from when you lived in Corning. Was able to visit with Aunt Midgy a few times when she was at the care facility here in Des Moines. Glad I had that chance. You are in our thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.
