Arly Pace, 85, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Arly was born on May 25, 1926 in Goldfield, Iowa to Paul and Ethel Shirk. She worked in various roles for the Norwalk School District for almost 30 years. Arlene was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs.
Arly is survived by her husband, Lloyd of West Des Moines; daughter, Kim (Robert) Botts of Aurora, CO; son-in-law, Clark (Barb) Duncan of Bella Vista, AR; brothers, Jerry and Don Shirk of Des Moines; grandchildren, Simone, Trey, Erica, Chris, Becky, Eric, Jeff, Rod, Phil and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Trudy Duncan; one sister and one brother.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Norwalk Christian Church, 701 Main Street with burial to follow at Webb Cemetery, Spring Hill, IA. Family will greet friends starting at noon Saturday at the church in Norwalk.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Norwalk Christian Church.
