Yolanda Hansen, 50, died Saturday, May 19, 2012 at her home. She was born November 20, 1961 in Hempstead, Texas to Harold and Laura Brown. She enjoyed being around her grandchildren. Yolanda loved dancing, singing, cooking, and having a good time with her friends. She will be truly missed by all.
Yolanda is survived by her mother, Laura Brown; brother, Harold Brown Jr.; daughter, Nyeisha Brown Banks; step-brothers, Stevie and Dwight Brown; step-sisters, Regina and Rodina Brown; grandchildren, Destiny Brown, Daionn Harris, and Deala Brown; niece, Shaquitta Brown; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Lee Brown Sr.; son, Duriel Brown; daughter, Tiara Campbell; and sister, Jaulanda Brown.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Morning Star Baptist Church, 3200 Lincoln Ave in Des Moines. A visitation with the family present will begin one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Yolanda.

I will truly miss you. You made my childhood such a blast. Being my favorite cousin made that so much more of an adventure. You taught me to live for the day because you can never get it back. Thank you for that. I love you so much. RIP

My heart go's out to Ms. Laura and the family, Yolanda will be truley missed. We go back a long long way, We first meet at the age of 8 or 9 on washington. I had not seen her for a while, but i will miss her forever, Rest Yolanda, I know God has told you WELL DONE. Love You.
