Sheryl, I carry many enjoyable memories of the years Jen was in your daily care and I counted Steve as a good friend. I will never forget the outing we had to pick corn, for freezing. We got back hot and tired and left the corn in the hot station wagon, while we settled in to grill some dinner and have a few beers. That poor corn had suffered greatly by the time we processed it the next day! My young adulthood was enriched by sharing it with him, and all of you. Take care, Doug

My sincere condolences on Steve's death. I had the good fortune to grow up with Steve, spent many hours hanging out with him and our buddies, and attended school together. Although we have not seen each other for many years, I have many great memories of those times we spent having fun. God Bless all of you as a family and keep you in his care. Larry

Sheryl, So sorry to hear of your lost. You all were such a great help to me when you watched my daughter, Kendra, which has been so many years ago. It was hard to leave her and go to work but it felt so much better because i knew she was being loved and taken care of. Every time we come back to Des Moines I think of you. Remembering your family in our prayers in your loss of Steve.

Sheryl,I'm so sorry for your loss.I remember your family as such a loving family.I always thought it was so cool how the whole family had their first name start with a S.Steve and you where so nervous with leaving your children with me to babysit. You would give me the do'& dont's for the night.I'll never forget the night Shannon did'nt think I was following those rules.Steve always gave me a ride home, even when I said I could walk. What a nice man!!! A few years ago I meet Cherry and was blessed with taking care of Steve"s aunt Jean.Going through pictures with Jean I found out she was Steve aunt and I loved Jean even more, because I remember how good your family was to my brother and me.I truly believe who we meet in this life is for a reason and somehow we all connect.I hope you can all find peace and comfort in knowing Steve is no longer in pain.Hugs to all,Love,Carla Mahaffey
