Wanda Dunning, 81, died Friday, May 11, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Wanda was born on May 26, 1930, to Hattie and John Fuller, in Adair County.
Wanda loved her family. It was known that Wanda was a great cook, always coming to family gatherings with pumpkin bars and other treats. One of the great pleasures Wanda had was taking her great-grandchildren to church with her. Wanda’s life was her family.
Those here to cherish her memory are her children: Larry (Ruth) Dunning, Debra (Dave) Rockwell, Randy Dunning, and Pamela Dunning; her grandchildren: Chad Emery, Aaron Abbas, Jennifer Cox, Nathan Abbas, Bethany Sealine, Richard Dunning, Kimberly Rockwell, Michelle Rockwell, Rachael Rockwell, Robert Dunning, and Rhonda Dunning; 21 great-grandchildren and one on the way; her sister, Shirley Dooley; and her brothers, Thomas and Garry Fuller.
Preceding her in her death was her husband Bert, her parents, Hattie and John Fuller, her daughter, Roberta Abbas, and six siblings.
A visitation will begin at 10 a.m., concluding with a service at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, May 16, at Park Avenue Presbyterian Church, 3120 SW 9th Street. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Wanda’s family in her loving memory.
