Leo "Edward" Howe

Leo “Edward” Howe, 77, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Taylor House Hospice.

Edward was born May 12, 1934, in Des Moines to Leo and Winifred Howe. He worked for Inland Mills from 1952 to 1970, and became partners with his father in 1970 at Sta-rite Automatic Transmission. Edward was on the board of ATRA and was a member of Masonic Lodge #370 and Model A Club.

Edward is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; daughter, Theresa (Joe) Scarpino; brother, Dale (Joy) Howe; three granddaughters; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dennis Howe; and daughter, Debra Shadbolt.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Avon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a Masonic Service at 8 p.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
