Carl Olson

Carl Olson, 68, died Monday, May 7, 2012, at Taylor House Hospice. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.

Carl was born January 31, 1944, to Mary and Carl Olson in Los Angeles, CA. He worked for many years as an X-ray Technician in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. Following that, he decided he wanted to be an over the road truck driver, and did that for CRST in Cedar Rapids. He was an avid amateur bowler; loved fishing, camping (especially in his beloved California) and all outdoor activities; and watching the Dodgers and Lakers play.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ellen; his children: Eric, Carl (Lara), and Kym; his step-mother Lois; and his siblings: Donna, Dennis, and Lisa.
