Carol Marcellus, 74, was born April 18, 1938, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Denton and Margaret (Cedar) Myers. She passed away peacefully Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 50 ½ years, Bud Marcellus of Altoona, Iowa; sons, Treg (Carla) Marcellus of Des Moines, Iowa, and Mitchell (Mary) Marcellus of Canton, South Dakota; four grandchildren, Colton, Kaylie, Raven and Benjamin Marcellus; siblings, John Myers of Humboldt, Iowa, Claudia Adams of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Doug Myers of Des Moines, Iowa; her mother-in-law, Kate Marcellus of Humboldt, Iowa; other loving relatives; and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her father-in-law, Albert Marcellus.
Cremation has occurred and private services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Bright Kavanagh House, 3000 Easton Boulevard, Des Moines, Iowa 50317, in loving memory of Carol.

So sorry to hear about Carol Lynn. I remember the time Carol got back from the big city, Claudia and I tried on all here fancy clothes. We sure thought we were big stuff.

Some of my best childhood memories were of times spent at the Myer's farm home and spending time with my cousins- Carol Lynn, Claudia, John & Doug. It is sad to lose a member of our family. My thoughts are with all of you.

Soooo sorry to hear about Carol.
Can see her yet laughing with tears in her eyes telling the Martha story doing the exercises getting ready for the class reunion. Look for all your good memories!!
