Aarah Pinegar

Aarah Ruth Pinegar, 89, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Parkridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Hill.

Aarah was born January 23, 1923, in Lamoni, Iowa, to Arthur and Nora Wilson. She lived in the Des Moines area most of her life, and was a member of Lee Town Assembly of God Church. Aarah loved going to the DAV and making afghans. She will be fondly remembered by her family as a “mother hen.”

Aarah is survived by her daughter, Dixie Pinegar; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd “Tuffy” Pinegar, and her son, Tommy Pinegar.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
