Service Details
Lorene Davis, 74, passed away on May 2, 2012. Services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 10 a.m., at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. Burial will follow at Newton Union Cemetery in Newton, IA.
Lorene was born in Newton, IA on December 1, 1937. She graduated from Newton High School and set out to see the world. She lived in various states including Michigan, California, Montana, Georgia and finally returning to Iowa. Lorene had various careers in office administration, including helping to promote the movie “Jesus” for a film company. She has worked for Iowa Health Physicians Clinic as a Medical Records Specialist for the past 2 years. Lorene was a strong Christian and was fearless, sassy, and somewhat famous as she appeared in Life Magazine.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Michele Davis; her granddaughters, Kristin (Jeremy) Trudeau, Dakota Davis; great-grandson, Jalen; and her brother, Leroy Davis. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Rosetta Davis; and her siblings, Margaret, Darlene and Cecil.

I just found out today that my friend Loren died. I am so sad! We worked together at Citi and have been friends ever since. We also played cards once a month. I just didn't realize that it has been before Nov 2011 since we talked. Michelle & family, she is missed. Sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear of Lois's passing,she and I were friends through high school, she had a great sense of humor. We had a lot of fun.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Lois, Beverly and I were friends in kindergarten and thru Jr. High and High School. We continued to keep in touch at our reunions and thru email. She will be missed..

Lois had such great energy and outgoingness about her in high school. I'm sorry that I didn't realize sooner that I did remember her but by Lois and not by Lorene.
