Service Details
Thelma Cave, 85, passed away at her home Wednesday, April 25, 2012. She was born October 9, 1926.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Rev. Jack Cave, daughter, Cindy (Todd) Markle, son, Stew Cave, and three grandchildren, all of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and a brother.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Berwick Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

I'm writing this for my mom who just had leg by-pass surgery where they put an artificial vein so the blood flow opened up to her bad foot. She's doing fine and is in ICU now. She will be 91 next month. She said to be sure to tell you that she's thinking about you.

Some of my earliest memories are of your family, and you are an important part of my history. When my dad told me I felt a huge loss. I remember her laugh! I will be praying for you all.

This photo is a beautiful way to remember Thelma Cave for sure! She was one of my role models on how to dress with class!!! She was relaxed and fun-loving and loved to laugh! Your family have been in my prayers. She can be so proud of you on how you cared to the end.

Pastor, Cindy, Stew and Family--
I am sad for you and thinking of you in hearing of your wife/mom's passing. I reflect back on the time when Pastor Jack and Thelma were my Pastors with great fondness. I remember your wife/mom as a very classy lady, always looking like a million bucks as they say, but always her being so very sweet to us kids and my whole family as well.
