Norma Huffman

Norma, 78, passed away on Sunday April 22, 2012 at the Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House surrounded by family. Norma was born and raised in Batavia, Iowa and later moved to Des Moines, Iowa with husband Billie J. Huffman and raised their family. Norma enjoyed spending time with family, pets and occasional trips to Prairie Meadows.

Norma is survived and lovingly remembered by her sisters; Rena and Rosie; sons; William Huffman, Kevin and daughter in law Cherie Huffman; daughter Kathy Huffman; grandchildren, Heather Huffman and husband Dan Horton, Sara Huffman, Chris McVey, and Kati Huffman. Norma also had eight great grandchildren; Saleen Horton, Adrianna Meir, Calen Huffman, Dylan Horton, Conner Huffman, Parker Huffman, Kaedyn McVey, and Layla Huffman. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Billie J. Huffman; brothers, Leroy and Ray; sisters, Roberta and Eloise.

Family will welcome friends on Saturday April 28, 2012 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Eastgate Masonic Lodge located at E 25th and Grand Avenue, where they will celebrate Norma’s life. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date in Ottumwa Iowa, where Norma and her husband will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House (3401 E. Douglas Avenue Des Moines, Iowa 50317) in loving memory of Norma E Huffman.
