Helen Davis

Helen June Davis, 103, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012 in Hays, Kansas. She was born June 29, 1908, in Hocking, Iowa, to Andrew and Anna (Musick) Thomas and raised in Chariton, Iowa. Helen lived most of her life in the Des Moines area.

She married Don Davis in 1931, and was a member of All Saints Parish for over 70 years.

Helen is survived by her daughters, Carmen (Jim) Barrett and Constance Nease; son, Don (Rita) Davis; ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her parents and all of her siblings.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, April 23, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 24, at All Saints Catholic Church, 650 NE 52nd Avenue, Des Moines, with burial at Glendale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the All Saints Building Fund in loving memory of Helen Davis.
