Frances Oberender

Frances L. Oberender, 91, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Genesis Senior Living Center.

Frances was born June 7, 1920, in Atlantic, Iowa, to Carl and Alice Marshall. She graduated from East High School in 1940 and married Russ Oberender in 1952. She was a homemaker and primary caregiver of her in-laws in their later years. Frances was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed dancing.

Frances is survived by a host of extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Russ.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2012, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. A memorial service will be held at Genesis Senior Life Center. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Norwalk Cemetery.
