Evelyn Palla

Evelyn H. Palla, 91, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2007 surrounded by her family at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, IA. Funeral Services will be held in Chicago, Illinois. Burial will take place in Acacia Park Cemetery in Chicago, Ill.
Evelyn was born June 17, 1915 to James and Clara Massis, and married John J. Palla in 1944. She lived in Chicago all of her life until she moved to the Mill Pond Health Care Center in Ankeny for the past 9 years. She was a retired secretary for the Brach Candy Company. She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ and was secretary of the NEBO Friendship Club.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Mia) Palla of Ankeny, and two granddaughters Kristin and Kathryn of Ankeny. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband John J. Palla,
